We are pleased to announce that sanitas recently received the coveted environmental certification from DerGrünePunkt. This prestigious award recognizes our commitment and achievements in the Dual System for the recycling of retail packaging in 2023.
Through our participation in this program, we have not only made a significant contribution to reducing our environmental impact, but have also achieved impressive savings:
- 1,522 kg of CO2 equivalents: This amount corresponds to the annual filter performance of 1,522 square meters of forest.
- 22 kg phosphate equivalents: an important step towards reducing water pollution.
- 39 GJ primary energy: Efficient use of resources and minimization of energy consumption.
- 6 kg sulphur dioxide equivalents: Contribution to reducing air pollutants and improving air quality.
These figures underscore our unwavering commitment to a sustainable future and demonstrate the positive impact our efforts are having on the environment.
Our services—and the sustainability commitment that goes along with them—are not based on mere claims, but are backed by a comprehensive environmental assessment conducted by the renowned Heidelberg Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IFEU). This underscores the significance of our achievements once again.
